HELLO, HOLA, BONJOUR|WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL BLOG|ALWAYS BE YOURSELF|FOLLOW MY JOURNEY

The Lemon Detox

We all over indulge now and again...

Some of us more than others, and that's been me lately...oops.

Basically the amount of food I've been consuming is a lot more than recommended, even when I was working out I was still over consuming- tut tut. Along with this I have been drinking too much of the good stuff (Alcohol) and whenever I do drink it seems to immediately lead to my inhibitions completely disappearing and I start to over eat, mainly reaching for the nearest available source of carbohydrates to soak up the alcohol in my stomach (usually some nice greasy chips-oops), we are all guilty of this and in moderation why the hell not! But too much in a short space of time has led to me gaining weight, coming out in spots and generally feeling like rubbish, so I feel there is no better time than to detox my body and get all that crap out of my system so I can start a fresh!

I have tried to take part in the lemon detox before but was unsuccessful (because I had no determination) and frankly I didn't even try and make the mixture taste nice...so I still had the main ingredients lying around the house.

This time I am planning on sticking to it and getting all this crap out, I have just headed down to the local market to pick up some lovely fresh lemons and some cute Jars to store my liquid in.

Recipe:

  • 2 tbsp of Natural tree syrup
  • Half a lemon
  • a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger
  • and 300 ml of water, either hot or cold!

If you live in the UK the Natural tree syrup is sold in Holland and Barratts and at the moment its buy one get one half price so stock up! The syrup isn't cheap but once you have it you're sorted for the long term and if you wanted to do the detox say once every month you would certainly see a dramatic change in mood/skin and weight.

You should have about 7 glasses a day to flush everything out, or as many as you can stomach!
I made mine in my mini blender by adding ice and lots of lemon (I prefer the taste) and it doesn't taste half bad!
I made one batch with Cayenne pepper added and the other with ginger so I will see which one works out better.

All my preparation is done, so wish me luck! I will let you know my update on the situation and how I feel...uh oh.

I MUST point out this is not a long term solution for weight loss or living in general it's meant to be a short term detox to get rid of toxins and gain that energy you've lost!

If you want to give it a go and join me, feel free and please post in the comments or send me a private message!

Watch out for my updates!

Cheers!
