HELLO, HOLA, BONJOUR|WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL BLOG|ALWAYS BE YOURSELF|FOLLOW MY JOURNEY

Wicked the Musical

On the 4th of September it was my little sisters birthday, she turned 11, as you can tell quite a big age gap between the both of us!

And so to celebrate my mother had booked us all tickets to see Wicked the musical at the Victoria Apollo theater in London which is a musical I've always wanted to see! Our family is very musical and have always appreciated the arts especially singing.

When we got there we were running a bit late but managed to find our seats which were fairly high up but we had the cheaper tickets so what do you expect.
Before we went I had checked how long the show ran for and it was an epic 2 hours and 45 minutes which I was personally dreading as I love my bed and an early night, however the time just flew by so fast!

It was fast moving, full of amazing music/dance and the acting was amazing too, of course being a music buff I knew a few of the songs already but seeing them live is another experience all together, the set was ever changing and the costumes were..fabulous!
Elphaba (the wicked witch) usually played by Kerry Ellis was replaced by Emma Hatton, her voice was amazing and definitely didn't let the show down at all!

I highly recommend seeing this musical whether its for a special occasion or just to see a new show in the west end, with so many musicals accessible to me I don't know why I don't venture out more (probably due to the cost) but I really should!

My sister thoroughly enjoyed herself and of course we got her a program and a slush, it was her birthday after all. We went on a Thursday expecting it to be pretty quiet but it was more or less full in the theater which obviously reflects on its popularity. Overall a wonderful night and I would very much like to go again, perhaps a bit nearer to the stage next time.

Outside the theatre!
What musicals have you seen, any good ones? Please recommend me some!

Namaste
