HELLO, HOLA, BONJOUR|WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL BLOG|ALWAYS BE YOURSELF|FOLLOW MY JOURNEY

Fitness at the moment

At the moment I'm training for Sure's 10k 'Run to the beat' taking place on Sunday the 14th of September, I am both excited and nervous at the same time.

As some of you know I've been into fitness and health for about 2 years now since I started my weight loss about 3 years ago.
Now training puts extra pressure on for me, which makes me very nervous. I know in my mind I'm more than capable of completing the route but in the back of my mind there will always be a lingering doubt, so I'm training hard.

Anyway, following this I've discovered that amongst 'The Gyms' in London not all are equally inviting when it comes to working out.
For the past year I was training in the gym, kingston branch and it's amazing, they have cold water in the fountain, the air conditioning is always on nice and cold and you don't even realise you're working out, oh and did I mention it has 2 floors. However, I've recently gone back to the first gym I ever trained in, the wood green branch, now that is small, sweaty, cramped, has warm water and the air conditioning is non existent! You may think trivial things like this don't matter but they make or break a work out!

Anyway following this I took the intelligent option and upgraded my membership to 'multi-site' which means I can use ANY gym! And as today the gym in Kingston is closed it's time to check out a brand new one!

I will let you know my opinion of that when I'm finished and when I've chosen one ha.
Anyway, I will post a little training routine up at a later date for people starting out but I'm no expert on running myself, I do it because I've never been able to before and I feel amazing after I do it.
Have a great day and try a new challenge!

Just a quick word of advice, you don't need to run at first, start walking and walk outdoors, one of my favourite places to walk and clear my head is Richmond Park, its massive and full of wildlife it always makes me feel calm and i'm exercising without realising, there are so many wonderful parks in England so go out and enjoy one!
Here was my view yesterday: Just beautiful.

Richmond Park
So go out and enjoy the remaining sunshine (whilst it lasts)

Namaste
